A Tutorial I have created for Digital Tutors as part of their Creative Development Series, the tutorial includes scene and terrain creation in Vue, export of the terrain to World Machine for erosion, then import back into Vue for finalizing the scene. The tutorial also includes all scene files and assets seen in this image (Cabin, Dock, etc).

Here's the link to the preview...

I tried to do my best to create this wonderful scene in vue but my current PC config. never let me do it. I'm upgrading my RAM in a while and then I'll try. Awesome tutorial BTW :)

Which part gave you trouble? Was it the erosion in World Machine?

The erosion part went fine. It was the part where I sculpt the terrain.

Did you sculpt before or after the erosion? Also, sculpting is a bit tricky, it's a fine line of adjusting the hardness of the rock and the flow of the brush. I find it a bit easier to use a tablet when doing this.

I tried to sculpt it before the erosion. I can see my RAM usage goes up like 90% on my Logitech G15 whenever I try sculpt the terrain. I got 3GB Triple channel memory and I'm upgrading it to much faster and spacious 12GB ;) Hope I can work on it after I upgrade.

Try sculpting at a lower landscape resolution. Remember that the sculpting "detail" isn't that important, because we will simply be bringing that roughness into World Machine and then eroding it.
